Zygi Kamasa is one of the leading Executive Producers, film financiers and distributor in the UK.
He is the CEO and founder of True Brit Entertainment Ltd, a British based theatrical distributor dedicated exclusively to co-financing and co-producing British feature films and Television.
Zygi started his film career in as founder and Managing Director of television production company Scorpio Productions. In , he and Simon Franks founded the independent film distributor, Redbus spelfilm, which they sold to Lionsgate in October for $35million, where it was renamed Lionsgate UK.
For over 15 years he was then CEO for Lionsgate UK and Europe leading distribution in the UK across such franchises as The Hunger Games, The Expendables, as well as smash hits La La Land, Magic Mike and John Wick.

Project Marks Lionsgate Television UK’s First Series for Development
London, England May x, &#; Lionsgate Television UK today announced that it has acquired rights to develop the number one UK non-fiction bestseller Jerusalem from award winning historian and novelist Simon Sebag Montefiore. The series will be a character-driven, action-filled account of war, betrayal, faith, fanaticism, slaughter, persecution and co-existence in the universal city through the ages. Lionsgate will produce and sell global rights, including the U.S. and UK.
The series is based on Montefiore’s dazzling biography Jerusalem which has received massive critical acclaim, described as “an extraordinary achievement, written with imagination and energy*” and “A fittingly vast and dazzling portrait of Jerusalem, utterly compelling from start to finish **”.
