José María Dols Samper, better known as José María Manzanares, is a bullfighter who has left an indelible mark on Spanish and global bullfighting. Promising Beginnings Manzanares made his public debut at the age of 16 in Campotéjar, Granada, showing a natural understanding and skill in the art of bullfighting from an early age. This debut marked the start of a promising career in the bullfighting world.
Rise as a Novillero Just a year after his first public appearance, Manzanares had his novillada in Nimes, France, on February 22, 2002, a place that has witnessed the birth of many bullfighting stars.
