    Anna Kooiman

    Anna Brooks Kooiman[2][3] is an American news anchor and television panelist, working for NewsNation as a weekend anchor based in New York City since April, 2024. From 2011 to 2016, she was an anchor and reporter for Fox News based in New York City. From there, she moved to Australia, and was with News Corp's Australian division until 2022 as a substitute anchor and panelist on various news programs for Network Ten.[4]

    Kooiman grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina, where her parents still live and own businesses. Of Dutch ancestry, she went to Myers Park High School (2002 graduate), where she played softball and also played with the SouthPark Youth Association.[5]

    From Westchester, NY to Florida, Anna Guber moved to Vermont to join the NBC5 News grupp in August 2023.

    Anna graduated summa cum laude from the University of Florida in May 2023 with a bachelor's in journalism and a minor in sociology. While studying at UF, Anna was a reporter for Gainesville’s WUFT news and an attorney on the UF Mock rättegång team.

    Her favorite courses at UF included investigative journalism and narrative non-fiction, during which she wrote a story that placed 2nd in the Hearst Journalism Award’s monthly competitions for Personality/Profile writing. That award went on to earn her a spot in the 2023 Hearst National Journalism Awards Championship where she won first place in the writing category.

    Anna was excited for an opportunity to try something new while completing a 12-week Hearst reporting fellowship at NBC5. She has since discovered a love for broadcast reporting and the Green Mountain state.
