Anna Slesers was a seamstress. She was a mother. She was supposed to be at a church memorial service.
But Anna Slesers became a victim.
On June 14, , Slesers’ year-old son found her strangled to death on the kitchen floor of her Gainsborough St. apartment. The year-old’s blue housecoat had been ripped open, its belt tied hauntingly around her neck in the shape of a bow. Slesers had no enemies, her son told the Boston Globe.

The Boston Strangler is the name given to the murderer of 13 women in Greater Boston during the early s. The crimes were attributed to Albert DeSalvo based on his confession, on details revealed in court during a separate case,[1] and DNA evidence linking him to the final victim.[2]
In the years following DeSalvo's conviction – but prior to the emergence of this DNA evidence – various parties investigating the crimes suggested that the murders (sometimes referred to as the "Silk Stocking Murders") were committed by more than one person.[3]
